MAS: Week #5 ~ Story Time

WELCOME TO Week #5 of MAS; although others may read this, it is actually an assignment for My Alphabet Stew, a 6-week online writing class based out of Phoenix, Arizona and facilitated by Jenny Fisher. In this particular session of MAS, we are using favorite quotes to jumpstart our writing assignments. This week's quote is, "God loves stories, that's why He created people." I like stories too and that's one reason I find the woman in the picture so appealing. She's definitely got something important to say and her audience is attentive and "all ears."

Your assignment, as always, is two-fold...you can choose one or the other, or try your hand at both. The first choice is to write a story about someone you miss...living or dead, young or old, close friend, special relative, near or far. The second choice is to tell us a story about a time that God or Spirit worked in your life or the life of someone you know. That's it...those are your choices.

I like to think that the woman storyteller might be saying, "A human being is nothing but a story with a skin around it," but I know better...it was actually comedian Fred Allen (1894-1956) who so aptly said it. Begin.
